The Winston-Salem Dash (17-11) rode early home runs and a dominant pitching performance to a 6-1 win over the Hudson Valley Renegades (14-13) on Tuesday night.

After a leadoff out in the first, Caleb Bonemer launched a solo home run to left field to open the scoring. Later in the inning, Anthony DePino added an RBI single to plate Colby Shelton and extend the lead to 2-0.
Hudson Valley answered in the second with a solo home run from Roderick Arias, but the Dash quickly regained momentum.
In the fourth, Kyle Lodise crushed a solo shot to left-center to push the lead to 3-1.
Winston-Salem broke the game open an inning later.
After Shelton doubled home a run, DePino delivered the biggest swing of the night with a two-run home run down the left-field line, stretching the advantage to 6-1.
From there, the Dash pitching staff took over.
After allowing just two hits through the first four innings, Winston-Salem combined to hold the Renegades scoreless over the final seven frames. The Dash pitching staff struck out 15 batters and did not allow another extra-base hit after the second inning.
Liam Paddack (2-0) earned the win in relief, while the bullpen combined for five shutout innings to secure the victory.
Winston-Salem will look to carry the momentum into the remainder of the series.
