Matt Hamilton is a McKinney, Texas native and a seasoned leader in Minor League Baseball, with stops at the Amarillo Sod Poodles (Double-A, Arizona Diamondbacks) and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple-A, New York Yankees). His career blends front-office leadership with a media background, bringing a unique perspective to the game and the fan experience.

Before baseball, Matt spent seven years in broadcast television, primarily as a sports anchor and morning news anchor, sharpening his storytelling and on-air presence. He’s a graduate of West Texas A&M University, where he played baseball for the Buffaloes while earning a degree in Sports Broadcasting.

Away from the ballpark, Matt is all about family life with his wife Cassie and their three kids Tate, Beau, and Reese. Add in their two mini-Aussies, Pearl and Bonnie, and you’ll usually find the Hamilton crew at a local park, out exploring Wichita, or enjoying a great meal together around town.

Neleigh joined the organization in April of 2021. She grew up in Mulvane, KS and graduated from Emporia State University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in History. She is currently a graduate student at ESU to obtain her Master of Library Science with a focus in archival studies. In her role with the Wind Surge, she oversees the Wichita Baseball Museum and assists the front office staff in daily operations.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading and spending time with her husband & yellow lab, Theo.

Veteran broadcaster Tim Grubbs is in his 31st season in Minor League Baseball. In 2025, he broadcasted his 4000th Minor League Baseball game and in August made his Major League debut broadcasting six games for the Minnesota Twins.

He joined the Wind Surge after eighteen seasons in New Orleans with the Zephyrs/Baby Cakes. He has also spent three years as the broadcaster for the Knoxville Smokies, Winston-Salem Warthogs, and a season with the Hickory Crawdads. Grubbs was named the Southern League Broadcaster of the year in 2001. He broadcast the longest game in PCL history in 2006 when the Zephyrs defeated the Nashville Sounds in 24 innings.

Outside of baseball, Tim has also broadcast football, basketball, hockey, and beach volleyball on Cox Sports Television, ESPN3, and The American Digital Network. He has also done broadcast work for the Tulane Green Wave, and Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

Tim handles the broadcasts, public relations, team travel, and corporate sales.

He is a proud native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and an alumnus of Robert Morris University. He lives in Wichita and enjoys spending time with his wife, Emily, their daughter Katie and their beagles Winnie & Nellie.

Colin is currently attending Southwestern College in Winfield, studying Sports Management and is a member of the baseball team. He is from McPherson, KS and graduated from Mission Vista High School in Oceanside, CA. He is a fan of the Kansas Jayhawks and the Anaheim Ducks.

Returning to the Wind Surge in 2023 after 2 years in professional rugby with the Houston SaberCats. 12 years in Minor League Baseball with stops with the Fort Wayne TinCaps, Mobile BayBears, and Sugar Land Skeeters. With the Wind Surge during the building of Riverfront Stadium from 2019-2021 and looking forward to finally seeing Riverfront Stadium with fans in the stands. Originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana.

J.T. joined the Wind Surge front office in May of 2024 and was promoted to Manager, Ticket Sales in May of 2025. A 2020 graduate of Hardin-Simmons University, J.T. began his collegiate baseball career at the junior college level, earning 1st Team All-Conference Starting Pitcher honors during his sophomore season at Mountain View College.

Prior to transitioning into professional baseball full-time, J.T. spent four years in construction sales, where he developed a strong foundation in relationship building and revenue generation. He has since combined that experience with his passion for the game, previously working in baseball operations with the Round Rock Express as a Clubhouse Assistant.

Outside of the ballpark, J.T. enjoys spending time at home with his wife, Brie, and their two dogs, Ladybug and Juneau, or getting out to a nearby golf course. A Texas native, he remains a loyal fan of the Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Stars, Dallas Cowboys, and the Texas Longhorns. Hook ’em!

Lucas joined the Wind Surge front office staff in May of 2023 as a Communications Intern. After the season ended, he graduated from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Communication with a minor in Kinesiology. He was named Sports Information Director Intern of the Year in 2023 by Tarleton State University. Lucas rejoined the Wind Surge staff in November of 2024 as a full-time Account Executive.

When not at the ballpark, Lucas can be found on the golf course or shooting photography. As a Wichita native, he enjoys cheering on Shocker basketball with his father as season ticket holders. He also loves to watch his alma mater back in Texas along with the Cowboys, Rangers, and Stars.

Trevor joined the Wind Surge organization in February of 2025. He is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2022 with a Bachelor's in Sport Management and a minor in Marketing. While in Bowling Green, he completed internships with the Southern Illinois Miners and the Altoona Curve, and most recently spent time with the Columbus Blue Jackets as a Ticket Sales Consultant.

When not at the ballpark, Trevor can be found exploring Wichita with his beagle, Levi. He enjoys cheering for the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and Indiana Hoosiers.

Kayla a Destin, Florida native recently joined the Wind Surge during the 2025 season. Kayla played college softball at Converse University in Spartanburg SC where she majored in Marketing and Psychology. She was an All American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the year and Capitan of her Softball team. During her college years she also served on the Student Government Association, and Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Kayla was also Chair of the Valkyries Club and an Orientation Leader.

When Kayla wasn't playing softball or serving on boards she worked in the athletic department as a work study student for Game Day Management, Sport Info and assisted with the Promotions team. After finishing school Kayla worked as an event management intern for USA Softball in OKC and worked part time for a social sports league at the University of West Florida. Kayla moved to Wichita to be closer to her Family in Nebraska. When Kayla is not at the ballpark you can find her at the gym, traveling, spending time with her family or watching her favorite team the Nebraska Huskers.

As the Director of Marketing for the Wichita Wind Surge, Madison combines her lifelong love of sports with extensive marketing experience. Growing up in a baseball family—her grandfather and brother both pitched for Wichita State University—she was immersed in the game early, creating lineups and tracking fantasy teams by hand. A Wichita State graduate with a B.S. in Marketing and a minor in Communication, Madison worked with the baseball program, contributed to the #WatchUs and #DontLeaveEarly campaigns, and served as Sports Editor for the student newspaper. After college, she joined the Kansas City Royals’ promotions department, gaining Major League Baseball experience before expanding her career into community outreach at Woodside Health and Tennis Club and later digital marketing and sales at Cox Media. There, she was named a National Brand Ambassador, chaired the Employee Engagement Committee, and earned the Heartland “Connect” Award for Women in Media. Now leading marketing for the Wind Surge, Madison oversees brand strategy, fan engagement, and creative campaigns that strengthen both the fan experience and community ties. Outside the ballpark, she’s an avid actress represented by a Kansas City talent agency and a proud dog mom to Summit, her Doberman—who she continues to campaign for as the team’s future bat-dog.

Hannah joined the Wind Surge front office staff in April of 2021 and is entering her 6th season with the Wind Surge. As the Community Relations Manager, Hannah is responsible for cultivating community relationships, administering outreach activities, and integrating the Wind Surge brand into the community.

Hannah graduated from Wichita State University in 2021 with a degree in Sport Management with a minor in Communication and Workforce Leadership. During her time at WSU, Hannah was president and founder of CHAMPS, a student organization for sports management students who are interested in diversity, equity, and inclusion work. She was also involved in Ambassadors of Diversity and Inclusion, Phenomenal Women, COSMA’s Chi Sigma Mu chapter for sport management, and served as the Vice President of Community Relations for Alpha Phi.

In her free time, she enjoys watching baseball, hockey, and spending time with her dachshunds Bean, Elsie, Toby and Itachi.

Angie Smith joined the Wind Surge in February 2025 as the team's Promotions & Game Day Programming Manager. Here, she oversees all theme nights and promotions, giveaway items, and game day activations around the stadium.

Originally from New Jersey, Angie graduated from Kean University with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, and brings a combined eight years of experience from within the NFL and ECHL with her to the Wind Surge.

When not at the ballpark, you can find her spending time with her fiancé - Tucker, and dog - Kaia, playing videogames, reading, or doom-scrolling TikTok.

Andrew joined the Wind Surge in June of 2024 following his graduation from Northwestern University. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Andrew is a big fan of all Atlanta teams, the Carolina Hurricanes, UGA football, and all Northwestern sports. Outside of the office, he enjoys golfing, pickup basketball, and playing his guitar.

Emma recently joined the Wind Surge team in the 2025 season. Originally from Denver Colorado, Emma's love for sports started in the stands. As a kid, she was less interested in what was happening on the field and more fascinated by the crowd — the packed bleachers, the chants, the families sharing snacks, and the buzz of a full stadium. She quickly realized that her dream wasn’t just to be at the game, but to be the reason people showed up. During her time in college Emma took on any job she could get in her school's athletic department. From sales, promotions and marketing she ultimately fell in love with ticketing.

After earning her degree in sports management from Idaho University , Emma set her sights on a career in ticketing. For her, it wasn’t about pushing numbers — it was about creating experiences. She wanted to help people find their way to their first baseball game, a family night out, or a seat they’d return to every summer.

In her free time, Emma enjoys being outdoors especially hiking with her dog Spam. She also enjoys photography and cheering on her favorite teams the Colorado Rockies, the Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche and her alma mater. GO VANDALS!

Jake Cooley was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He grew up playing baseball, football, & golf but always had a true love for the game of baseball. Jake's first job was in commercial landscaping. He studied fire science right out of high school at Blinn College in Bryan College Station, then a 2-year fire program at Lonestar Community College. Jake worked his way up from a rookie to lieutenant in a 6-year span at station 6 Cy-Fair Fire Department. Jake then worked for the Houston Astros grounds crew for 8 years where all of his knowledge and passion for groundskeeping started. Jake recently accepted the Assistant Groundskeeper position for the Wichita Wind Surge in April of 2022 and is very excited to be a part of this team and community. He really enjoyed his first season with the Wichita Wind Surge, and enjoys that the minor leagues are more of an "if I have time i can help" which has been the absolute best change. He looks forward to the years to come with this great team and awesome co-workers.

2026 marks Ryne’s 2nd season with the Wind Surge as Assistant Director of Stadium Operations. Ryne’s previous experience comes from multiple internships from three different organizations, including the Arkansas Travelers of the Texas League.

Ryne grew up in Northeast Tennessee where he met his wife, Kayla. They were married in 2022. Ryne grew up an avid sports fan, and you will see him wearing all sorts of different colors outside of Equity Bank Park, especially Tennessee Orange as he is a die-hard Vols fan. His other fandoms include the Cincinnati Reds, Dallas Cowboys, and Los Angeles Lakers.

When not at the ballpark, you will find Ryne out with his wife exploring Wichita. If not out, then you will find him at home watching a ballgame on TV or playing an occasional video game with his friends online.

Anthony joined the Wind Surge team in April of 2022 as a part-time picnic server and since then he has grown and developed his skills in F&B/Hospitality. During the 2024 season, he served as a Hospitality Intern and was mentored by Madison White and Tre Gray. After the season of mentorship, it allowed him to be promoted to Hospitality Supervisor for the 2025 season. He is looking forward to developing his skills more while helping create fun and lasting memories for fans.

Anthony is a Wichita native and is currently studying Sports Management at Butler Community College. When Anthony isn’t working you can find him at the gym, watching sports, playing video games, hanging out with friends, and with his two dogs, Dozier and Clyde.
