CW Richmond to air Flying Squirrels playoff game Sept. 17

RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Gray Media will continue their partnership for a television broadcast of the team’s first home playoff game in CarMax Park history on CW Richmond.

Game 2 of the Eastern League Southwest Division Series on Thursday, Sept. 17 between the Flying Squirrels and Erie SeaWolves, Double-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, will air on CW Richmond beginning at 6:30 p.m. First pitch is scheduled for 6:45 p.m.

The Flying Squirrels, Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, will have the games featured on WUPV/CW Richmond, part of Gray Media, the third-largest television ownership group in the country. Trey Wilson, who has been part of the Flying Squirrels broadcast team since 2019, will handle the play-by-play. He will be joined by legendary Minor League Baseball executive Todd “Parney” Parnell. The Flying Squirrels clinched a berth in the 2026 Eastern League postseason by winning the Eastern League Southwest Division’s first half with a 43-25 record.

Richmond will face the Southwest Division second-half champion SeaWolves in the best-of-three Division Series. Game 1 will be in Erie on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Game 2 will be at CarMax Park on Thursday, Sept. 17. If necessary, a winner-take-all Game 3 will be held at CarMax Park on Friday, Sept. 18.

If the Flying Squirrels advance to the Eastern League Championship Series, Game 1 will be at CarMax Park on Sunday, Sept. 20. Game 2 and (if necessary) Game 3 will be at the Northeast Division champion's home stadium on Sept. 22 and Sept. 23.
