Kim Miner, Esq., serves as Executive Vice President/General Counsel for the Pawtucket Red Sox. Responsible for all aspects of the club's legal operations, the Harvard Law School graduate was a key negotiator of lease agreements in 2017 with the City of Pawtucket and the Rhode Island Commerce Commission, and then with the City of Worcester and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 2018. She was an active participant in the decision to design and build a new downtown ballpark in Worcester, Massachusetts, that is set to open in 2021.
In addition to providing legal expertise and advice on the ballpark development process, she participates in various strategic business decisions and also oversees the philanthropic arm of the club, the Pawtucket Red Sox/Skeffington Charitable Foundation. The 501(c)(3) focuses on education, children's health, and veterans' causes. She has played a key role in creating the PawSox Scholars program and participates in the PawSox Mentoring Program with 5th graders at nearby Agnes Little Elementary School in Pawtucket, RI.
Prior to joining the PawSox in 2016, Miner was a member of the corporate practice group at the Boston office of WilmerHale, a leading international law firm. While playing varsity softball at Tufts University, from which she graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in economics, the right-handed pitcher began her professional baseball career in the front office of the Boston Red Sox, for whom she was instrumental in creating the 100th Anniversary celebration of Fenway Park. Miner served as a Fenway Ambassador in the fan services department before advancing to the club's business development, ballpark planning, and legal departments. Miner resides in Quincy, MA with her husband.
