MIDLAND – Friday night Corpus Christi tallied their season high runs, defeating Midland 17-6. All batters contributed in the scoring affair, tallying a season high 19 hits. Trevor Austin finished the night going 4-6 with two doubles and two RBI. Additionally, Joseph Sullivan recorded his third multi-hit game of the series and is currently batting .474 this week with 13 total bases.
On the mound, Cole Hertzler made his AA debut going 5.0 IP, while allowing 3 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 2 K. Following the three-hour long matchup, Hertzler picked up his second career win and first with Corpus Christi. Jeremy Cologna deployed five pitchers which all recorded at least two strikeouts and finishing the night with 12 punchouts.

The Hooks will be back in action Saturday night against Midland with first pitch scheduled at 7:00 PM. RHP Brett Gillis will be on the mound facing LHP Jamie Arnold.
