Grizzlies Honor 2026 Team Award Winners

In the 25th year in Downtown Fresno, the Grizzlies have given this city another year worth remembering. At the culmination of every season, the organization honors the players who deliver the memorable moments and years on the mound, in the batter's box, and in the community with the Fresno Grizzlies End of Season Player Awards.

Our Team MVP for 2026 is left-hander Brady Parker. Parker finishes the year with an 8-3 record and a 3.61 ERA, the best mark of any qualified pitcher in the California League, and his 152 strikeouts lead the entire league outright. Opposing hitters have managed just a .218 average against him, also a league best, while his 1.34 WHIP ranks third and his .727 winning percentage ranks second in the Cal League. He was nearly unhittable down the stretch, posting a 2.08 ERA and 73 strikeouts over his final 65 innings of the second half and rocketed up to fourth in strikeouts for a single season in Grizzlies franchise history.

The 2026 Hitter of the Year is third baseman Carlos Renzullo. Renzullo hit .279 with 80 hits, 45 RBI and 49 runs scored across 79 games this season, while giving the Grizzlies innings all over the diamond — third base, second, shortstop, left and right field. But the numbers only tell part of the story. Renzullo was the only Grizzly to deliver multiple walk-off hits this season, coming through with game-winning singles against Rancho Cucamonga on July 22nd and again on July 25th. When the moment got biggest, he got better — hitting .393 with a .933 OPS in late-and-close situations, and coming through for 13 RBI in just nine at-bats with the bases loaded. Add in a knack for coming up with the defensive play right when Fresno needed it most and Renzullo’s exceptional season proved invaluable for the Grizzlies.

The Pitcher of the Year in 2026 is left-hander Ethan Cole. Cole finishes the season second on the pitching staff in strikeouts, trailing only Brady Parker. Cole began his professional career with the Grizzlies this season, and in his debut, he dazzled the rival Visalia Rawhide by retiring all 10 batters he faced. In a California League that hit all season long, Cole's numbers stack up among the league's best: fourth in WHIP, third in opponent batting average, third in winning percentage, and fourth in innings pitched among qualified pitchers. And he saved his best for last, closing the year with three consecutive scoreless outings — a save and two wins over his final three appearances — to post a 2.70 ERA in the month of August alone.

The Community Award for 2026 was earned by right-hand pitcher Marcos Herrera. In Marcos' second year with the Grizzlies, he represented the Fresno Grizzlies with class both on the field and off it all season. Marcos has volunteered throughout his time in Fresno and is always visible in the community, serving with his trademark enthusiasm and smile.
