MANCHESTER, NH - On Thursday, March 5, MLB Network unveiled the 2026 Spring Breakout player pools for all 30 MLB teams. The player pools consist of 40 names from each organization that still hold prospect status in their systems. Trey Yesavage (TOR No. 1, MLB No. 12, MLB Pipeline) headlines the list of 14 current/former Fisher Cats that will be featured in Toronto's 2026 Spring Breakout game, which will be played on Saturday, March 21 at 1:05 PM ET in Clearwater, Florida against the best of the Philadelphia Phillies' system.

Of the 14 current/former Fisher Cats players in Toronto's player pool, seven are pitchers and seven are position players. Ricky Tiedemann (TOR No. 5, MLB Pipeline) was taken by Toronto in the third round of the 2021 MLB Draft and made 18 starts in his first full summer with Dunedin and Vancouver before finishing the season in New Hampshire. After a long stretch of building back from injuries, Tiedemann's return is one of the many hopeful points of 2026. Gage Stanifer (TOR No. 6), Fernando Perez (No. 16), and Grant Rogers (No. 30) and Yondrei Rojas all donned the Fisher Cats red, blue and white in 2025, while Adam Macko (No. 21) received the Triple-A Buffalo bump at the back end of 2024.

Fisher Cats position players in Toronto's Spring Breakout player pool include 25-year-old RJ Schreck (No. 9) and 23-year-old Yohendrick Piñango (No. 10), who each were traded for by Toronto amidst the MLB Trade Deadline in 2024. Both Schreck and Piñango began 2025 in New Hampshire, and both were shipped to Buffalo early June, thanks to loud starts to last season. It was clear Piñango found himself after hitting .320 in New Hampshire's coldest month of the season in April. Although it couldn't have been a slower April for RJ, Schreck produced a .320 average in May to earn his Bisons cap.

Other position players include Victor Arias (No. 12), Josh Kasevich (No. 13), Charles McAdoo (No. 26), Jace Bohrofen and Josh Rivera.

The 2026 MLB Spring Breakout format, a four-day event with 16 exhibition games showcasing the top prospects of baseball, will be the last of its' kind. Starting in 2027, the Spring Breakout will be expanded into a single-elimination tournament, with champions being crowned in both the Grapefruit (FL) and Cactus (AZ) leagues.
