Kevin Boles Logs 1,500th Win as Biscuits Best Clingstones, 6-1

MONTGOMERY, AL (September 9, 2026) — The Montgomery Biscuits scored six unanswered runs to rally past the Columbus Clingstones, 6-1, on Wednesday at DABOS Park.

Columbus opened the scoring in the fourth inning when Alex Lodise grounded into a double play that allowed John Gil to score, giving the Clingstones a 1-0 lead.

Montgomery answered in the sixth. Mac Horvath tripled to center field, scoring Daniel Vellojin and tying the game at 1-1.

The Biscuits took the lead in the seventh when Justyn-Henry Malloy scored on an error by the Columbus shortstop, putting Montgomery ahead 2-1.

Montgomery broke the game open in the eighth. Theo Gillen launched a three-run homer to left field, scoring Cooper Kinney and Will Simpson to extend the lead to 5-1. Gregory Barrios followed with an RBI triple that scored Malloy, giving the Biscuits a five-run advantage.

Gillen finished 1-for-4 with a three-run homer and three RBI. Horvath went 1-for-4 with a triple and an RBI, while Barrios added a triple and an RBI. Simpson doubled, and Kinney scored a run while reaching in all four trips to the plate.

Montgomery starter Santiago Suarez worked 6.0 innings, allowing two hits and one unearned run while striking out five and walking one. TJ Fondtain earned the win after tossing 2.0 scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out two. Justin Yeager closed out the game with a scoreless ninth, striking out three.
