A NOTE FROM OUR TEAM REPORTER, KENDALL SMITH
Day one of spring training is officially in the books.
When I say the days are long but the time here is short, I mean it. The White Sox hold spring training in Glendale, Arizona, at Camelback Ranch. They even share the main complex with the Dodgers, which is pretty cool. More on that coming soon.
Today I arrived, interviewed our brand-new manager, Chad Pinder, and ran all over the complex to capture content. Turns out that it is not easy to do in heels. We also made a pit stop at In-N-Out Burger and filmed a review for all of you.
It feels like baseball season here, and I heard it feels the same in Charlotte as well. The energy is great, but the competition is for sure fierce. It's pretty awesome to have a front row seat for a third year in a row.
Overall, a great first day. And don’t forget, Opening Knight is March 27.

Spring Training with new Charlotte Knights manager Chad Pinder
Fresh leadership, new energy
Chad Pinder steps into the manager role and is setting the tone early. The focus is simple: work hard, improve every day, and get ready to compete. The energy around camp is positive as the Knights prepare for the season.
Preparation and evaluation
Spring training is where the work begins. Players get reps, coaches evaluate talent, and the team starts building the chemistry needed for a long season.
