CURVE, PA – Pittsburgh Pirates noted on his weekly radio show that 2023 Jared Jones is scheduled to continue his major league rehab assignment with the Curve on Tuesday, May 12 at PNG Field.

Jones, who is recovering from right elbow surgery, missed the entire 2025 campaign and returned to the mound for outings in Bradenton and Indianapolis. Last Wednesday, Jones tossed 3.0 innings for the second time in as many outings.

The 24-year-old righty struck out 47 batters in 44.1 innings with the Curve during the 2023 campaign and was named Altoona’s Pitcher of the Year. He held opponents to two runs or fewer in each of his ten outings with the team.

Jones made his major league debut with the Pirates with ten electrifying strikeouts of the Miami Marlins on March 29, 2024 in 5.2 innings. Jones picked up 132 strikeouts in 121.2 innings with the Pirates and recorded a 4.14 ERA in his debut season.
