Selected in the 1st round (No. 18 overall) of the 2022 MLB Draft by the Cincinnati Reds out of Chipola Junior College... signed at age 17 with the Reds on July 25, 2022 and received a $5 million bonus, well above the $3,659,800 slot value for the 18th pick... made his Reds debut on Aug. 8, 2022 with the Reds' Arizona Complex League team -- in nine games in Arizona, Collier hit .370 (10-for-27) with two homers and four RBIs... became the first junior college first-rounder since Tim Anderson, who went to the White Sox in 2013... after his state-title-winning sophomore season at Mount Paran (Ga.)
